Jewell Earls, 84, of Wister, OK, passed away September 10, 2012 in Wister. Jewell was born June 2, 1928 in Glendale Bottoms, to James and Alice (Ollar) Luman. She was a homemaker, a loving mother to her family, a kind and gracious aunt to her nieces and nephews; as well as to friends and loved ones.

Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Virgil A. Earls; four brothers, Cleo Luman, Hack Luman, Hershel Luman and Harland Luman; two sisters, Dean Pilgrim and Elsie Heflin.

Jewell is survived by two sons, Gerald Earls of Wister, OK and Gary and Paula Earls of Ovilla, TX; three brothers, Dale and wife Dean Luman, Pat Luman and Harrild Luman; a sister Rean Jones; three grandchildren, Wendy Smith, Sarah Kretchmar and Macayla Earls; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, friends and loved ones. Pallbearers will be Barry Luman, Wayne Luman, James Carrel Luman, Johnny Dale Pilgrim, Jeff Luman, Gerald Earls and Gary Earls.

Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012, at the Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Jeff Little officiating. Interment will follow service at Summerfield Cemetery, Summerfield, OK. The family has requested in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Program, Heartland Division, 4323 NW 63rd. St., Suite 110, OKC, OK, 73116-1513. The family will meet with friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. The Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home Poteau, OK.
