Obituary For Melvin Ray Roberts

Melvin Ray Roberts, age 59, of Van Buren, AR, passed away on October 12, 2012, in Van Buren. He was born October 4, 1953 at Poteau, OK, to Willie and Vera (Godwin) Roberts. He was a carpenter.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Weldon and Bob Roberts.

Melvin is survived by a son Tirrell and wife Heather Roberts; a daughter Debbie Ann and husband Shawn Firestine; five brothers, James Roberts, Leroy Roberts, Delbert Roberts, David Roberts and John Roberts; three sisters, Neitta Greenbaugh, Ruthie Menke and Judy Hale; three grandchildren, Emily Lauren Firestine, Aiden Shawn Firestine and Kiersten Blaze Nicole Nicely; as well as a host of other family members, friends and loved ones.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Les Scroggins officiating. Interment of ashes will be at Monroe Cemetery at a later date. Viewing will begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. until time for service.
