Billy Ray Knox, 77, of Panama, OK, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008, in Talihina, OK. He was born February 28, 1931, in Hot Springs, AR to Jack and Obie (Lester) Knox. He was in the U.S. Navy, and served in the Korean War. He retired from Whirlpool after 22 years and was a member of the Poteau Valley Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons B.R. Knox and Billy Knox; a brother J.E. Knox and a sister Maxine Gentry.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann of Panama; two sons Tommy Harper and wife Sammie of Bokoshe, OK, Scott Harper and wife Chrissy of Cameron, OK; three daughters, Tonja Hubanks of Hot Springs, AR, Sonja Maxwell of Conway, AR and Angela Knox of Mountainburg, AR; seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; as well as numerous other friends, family members and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Zack Harper, Benny Perry, Mike Skelton, and Sam Gross.
Service will be at 12:00 Noon, Monday, December 8, 2008, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Jim Parsley officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at Ft.
