Junior “J.O.” Gould, 82, of Poteau, OK, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008, in Poteau, OK. He was born April 11, 1926, in Stuart, OK to Virgil and Ruth (Hardy) Gould. He was a cattle rancher and the owner of Quality Furniture in Poteau for many years. He was a member of the Poteau Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Beatrice Gould, an infant daughter Cynthia, a grandson Dustin Garrett and a brother George Gould.
He is survived by a son Jerry Gould and wife Marla of Sperry, OK; a daughter Shirley Garrett and husband Bill of Poteau, OK; a brother Leroy Gould and wife Pauline of Spiro, OK; a sister Christine Bowman of Sand Springs, OK; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; as well as numerous other friends, family members and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons Don Stewart, Eric Garrett, Travis Gould, Brian Gould, Kevin Gould and Jason Gould.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel with David Bailey, Mick Mixon and Donald Cherry officiating.
