Charlena (Charlee) Denise Austin, 18, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008, in Poteau, OK. She was born June 2, 1990, in Ft. Smith, AR.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Roger Rose, Sr. and a brother Trenton Austin.
Charlena is survived by her daughter Whisper Jade; parents Lena Haynie and Todd Austin; brothers Todd Austin and Tristan Austin; sisters Ashley Austin, Miranda Austin and Isabella Austin; grand parents Eunice Munday and Bill and Margaret Austin and special aunt Melanie Austin; numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Chris Scarbrough, Todd Austin, Jr, Raymond Rivera, Joshua Rose, David Irvin, and Stephen Johnson. Honorary pallbearers Roger Rose Jr., Caleb Rose, Kelly Burns, Tristan Austin and James Freitas.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2009 at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Roger Mattox officiating. Interment will follow service at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
