Sandra Turner, 57, of Poteau, OK, passed away June 3, 2009, in Ft. Smith, AR. She was born March 7, 1952, in Poteau, OK, to James and Gloria (Chandler) Hargrove. She was a graduate from Poteau High School and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a LeFlore County Clerk Deputy. Sandra loved to sing and play the piano.
Sandra was preceded in death by her father James Hargrove.
She is survived by her mother Gloria Dean Hargrove of Poteau, two brothers Michael Eugene Hargrove and wife Kay and Jimmy Wayne Hargrove all of Poteau. Sandra was a “Special Aunt” to Kristen Morrison, Christopher Hargrove and Julie Hargrove. She was a “Special Great Aunt” to Caleb and Bryce Morrison. Sandra also leaves behind numerous aunts and uncles, Virginia and Jay Horn, Daisy Chandler, Rosemary Chandler, Wanda and Floyis Clay, Joyce and Jerry Piguet, Cherry and Joe Dalmut, Judy Chandler, Marge Berglund, Betty Mathies and Doris Gravley; as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Alan Vickers, Todd Peters, Dennis Yokum, Ronnie Burgess, Thomas Pate, Fred Sanders, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Curnutt and Joe Wiles.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with the Rev. Dale Rogers officiating. Interment will follow service at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau will be conducting the services.
