Donna Thomas, 70, of Cameron, OK, passed away July 8, 2009, in Cameron. She was born June 19, 1939, in Susanville, CA, to Tilton Ray and Edna Francis (Ramey) Holton. She was a graduate from Susanville High School and graduated from business college and worked as a secretary. Donna Holton married Richard Thomas on June 21, 1970 in Poteau, OK. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of forty years, Richard, of the home, three daughters, Sandra and husband Anthony Richards of Cedarville, AR, Shelly and husband Lenny Anderson of Poteau, Tammy and husband Marvin Trout of Poteau; one brother, Gary Holton of Spiro, OK; nine wonderful grandchildren who she loved more than anything, David, Troy, Cassie, Amber, Lisa, Aryan, Brittney, Caleb and Jacob; as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Lenny Anderson, David Anderson, Troy Anderson, Eric Holton, Anthony Richards, and Marvin Trout.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 10, 2009, at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK, with Bro. Ed Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow service at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau will be conducting the services.
The family would like to give a personal thank you to Professional Hospice and all of their staff, especially Noreen, Sarah and Cathy for all the help and comfort in the last few days; also, to Kathy, Gerald and Diana from Eastern Oklahoma Home Health for the months of wonderful care.
