William Harvey Dean, 75, of Poteau, OK, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009, in Poteau, OK. He was born August 25, 1933, in Cordell, OK, to Dan and Blanch (Parman) Dean. Harvey married Betty King on February 21, 1952 in California. Harvey was a retired contractor and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Poteau.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Harvey is survived by his wife Betty of the home; two sons, David Dean and wife Lana of Brentwood, CA, Gordon Dean and wife Janet of Discovery Bay, CA; two daughters, Kelli Brown and husband Bruce, Terri Milburn and husband Peter, all of Brentwood, CA; one sister Peggy Francis and husband Tom, of Columbia, CA; eight grandchildren, Michelle Widman, Matthew Brown, Holly, Heather, and David Dean, Jamie and Ashley Milburn and Jodie Martin; two great-grandchildren, Jack Widman and Riley Brown, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Harvey’s Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church, Poteau.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 20, 2009, at the First Baptist Church, Poteau, OK, with Rev. Phil McGehee officiating. The family will greet friends Sunday from 2:00 PM till 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at a later date in California.
