Rev. Thomas (Tommy) E. Williams, 77, of Henryetta, OK, formerly of Poteau, passed away September 10, 2009 in Henryetta. He was born September 22, 1931 in Shady Point, OK, to Thomas Jackson and Mary (McNeil) Williams. He was a retired civil service employee of numerous installations and a retired United Pentecostal minister. Thomas was united in matrimony to Marie Childers on January 8, 1955, in Stigler, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents and the wife he adored for 49 years, Marie Williams. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Sheila and David Patton of Hartford, AR; two brothers, Bill Williams of McAlester and Earl Williams of South Carolina; two sisters, Lora Gray of Florida and Melony Morris of Talihina, OK; three grandchildren, Joshua and wife Julie Bauer of Morris, OK, Caleb Bauer of Hartford, AR, Rachel Bauer of Spiro, OK; four great-grandchildren, Kaelynn, Peyton, Isaiah and Javan Bauer, as well as a host of other loved ones and friends. Pallbearers will be Rev. John Proctor, Rev. James Stewart, Rev. Kevin Womack, Bud Killion, Royce (Blue) Gullick, and Caleb Bauer. Honorary pallbearer will be David Patton. Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 14, 2009, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau, OK, with Rev. Lloyd Carr and Rev. Joshua Bauer officiating. Interment will follow service at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Family will greet friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
